21 cadets from the Army Cadet College (ACC) have graduated and joined the main stream of the Indian Military Academy (IMA). The 122nd passing out parade of ACC, held at the IMA’s Chetwood Auditorium on Saturday, saw these cadets being conferred degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
The Commandant of the Academy, Lieutenant General Vijay Kumar Mishra, administered the oath to the cadets. After undergoing a year of training at IMA, these cadets will join the army as officers. Among the graduates, 12 cadets are from the science stream and nine are from the arts stream.
The Commandant expressed his best wishes for the bright future of these cadets on their journey to become officers. He reminded them that ACC has produced numerous brave officers who have achieved valorous medals by showcasing their capabilities. These include not only the prestigious Sword of Honor from IMA but also gallantry medals like Param Vir Chakra and Ashoka Chakra for extraordinary courage and sacrifice.
Many cadets from ACC have reached higher positions in the army. This milestone of graduating is an important phase in their lives. The responsibility to uphold the honor, glory, and pride of the nation now rests in their hands.
It was stated that character, self-discipline, courage, inspiration, positive mindset, and professional competence are the pillars of a successful leader. Congratulating the cadets for their outstanding performance, they were advised to maintain consistency in their performance. Prior to this, the Principal of ACC, Dr. Navin Kumar, presented the college’s progress report.
